Project Overview

The bathroom was the last part of the house to be renovated and the homeowners had a definite vision on what they wanted the end result to be. Our designer worked closely with them to ensure that we were all on the same page.

The bath was to be the main feature and needed to be positioned carefully to be directly under the window with large alcove storage either side. To achieve this we needed to install a barndoor slider to access the laundry which is accessed through the bathroom, to ensure that it was not intrusive.

The open wet area shower required a section of the floor to be elevated so that we could obtain the required falls. The tiler had to work carefully laying the floor to ensure that the freestanding bath could be installed level but there were sufficient fall on all sides. With the higher stud, the bathroom was pulled together with the tiled dado rail which gave the space a sense of intimacy.

A flash of a personal touch was added with the cabinet above the vanity that the homeowner made themselves.
