The EQC repairs on the bathroom were not up to the homeowners' standards so they decided it was time for a full renovation to realise their vision.

This renovation was relatively straight forward with no major issues. All the main fixtures were to stay in the same locations but were to be upgraded.

The shower, which was a 900x900 acrylic shower, was upgraded to an Atlantis 1200x900 with a specialised tile over shower base. The owners wanted to have 2 alcoves, a higher one that was to be centred and made as large as possible, together with a smaller alcove to assist with leg shaving.

The new double bowl wall hung vanity and the recessed cabinet, both have the dark oak finish and provide a strong anchor point to the bathroom in contrast to the lighted tile choice and rimu window and door trim.

Another great choice in this bathroom is the fully freestanding bath which negates the lower window sill height that threatened to have a negative impact on the floor layout.

The tile choice was constant throughout, with the same tile on the floor and the walls. The left hand wall was tiled to the ceiling along with the long edge of the shower. All the other walls were tiled to 1.2m

The fittings have a black finish which is complemented by the black tile trim.
